Our Story

Empowered Smiles Initiative volunteers packing toothbrushes into dental hygiene kits

Founded in 2025, Empowered Smiles Initiative began when co-founder Peter Lee saw the urgent need for free dental essentials at local resource fairs. Partnering with co-founder Kenneth Jin, whose passion for medicine drives him, they launched a youth-led nonprofit committed to improving oral health.

Today, Empowered Smiles Initiative has grown into a community-driven 501(c)(3) dedicated to creating lasting change through access, education, and care.
